Can't buy a laker or rainbow. Got one 20" walleye on a 7 color lead core over 150' on a fire tiger needlefish. Weird.

Not at all where Id expect a walleye, but they seem to suspend just about anywhere to feed.  They often get em on similar setups on Erie and deeper.

Ended up with several hits on the same leacore line, but couldn't keep anything hooked up. 

 

Took one 20"+ laker near the bottom in 85' on a chartreuse evil eye.

 

I decided to try and calibrate the reel I use on the wire dipsey set up. While drifting, I let the dipsey sink to the bottom. In 80 fow, the line counter read 110.  I'll have make my own chart now, and perhaps catch something on the darn thing.
