Took my son out for browns this morning. He wanted to catch a big brown this year. We went out from 5:30-8:30. Didn't get anything until we went deeper. Caught three between 120 and 130. Fish were warm and caught near bottom. Lots of boats out, Anyone have any luck with the kings?

Gorgeous fish there, love to see them in their fall colors.

Congrats to the young man on checking another one off on his hit list for the year.

Any idea what down temp was when you got into them?

No idea...dont have a temp probe. I can say that the last few weeks i would pick up 2-3 browns every morning before going out for salmon working 80 to 100 fow. This last trip i had to go out to 135 because nothing was going in shallower, and when i got the fish up they were warm, and caught them 10 feet off the bottom. I hoped to catch more, but wasted an hour in shallower. Good news is that most people are not fishing them, all three were over 7 pounds.
