The last few times out of Oswego I've used basicly the standard ways to catch fish, dodgers ,flies, dipsey with no luck, not really marking a whole lot of fish but the ones

that were marked were down 20-30 fow out to 130 fow,I saw a few boats using some sort of planner board, orange in color and bringing in fish,I have to assume that the fish that high in the water might be scared off by the motor,I have never used planners but they seem to be making a differance out there right now. What is the favorite type and how does your lure or fly get down to 30 fow off one of these planners.Appreciate all advice. Thanks

based on that description, they are probably running Otter boats. You can run lead core line off of a planer board.

We use Church Tackle Boards. Walley Boards are okay for light weight such as a 4 oz torpedo weight.  However, any over that like the 8 oz torpedo or 300 ft of copper will require the TX44 boards.
