Hanging Suckers

I was wondering if anyone uses live bait ( Suckers ) for musky in the St. Lawrence.  I have never tried this but it looks fun and adds  another option letting one hang while your casting..  Im not even sure where one would get suckers in the 1000 island region.

the sign says "suckers" but they are small. 6 inches or so most of the time.

I would be nice to get 12 to 15 inch suckers...

When we pike fish thru the ice we use dead ones. do Musky like that?

I would think they prefer live ones..

not really. Pike of any size jump all over 'em.
