As the norm hit the water hard this weekend! Started out fishing from Watkins was all but impressed that storm is still having its way with horrible fishing only had 4 hits with 2 landed Saturday morning both salmon one on a free sliding cheater and the other on a 400 copper. The other 2 hits came on the prob rigger and flasher fly on the deep diver, so the south end is horrible and Sampson well Sampson is its typical August self consistent fishing lots of action. Made the move north sat evening started out a little slow and with some lost gear fishing a buddies boat he had a rigger go into free spool and when it stopped the ball kept going was a joke all night. Had guys that wanted lake trout so that's what we went for packed the bottom and really started to get them just before the sun went down, anywhere form 230 on the divers to 121 on the riggers was a steady pick of fish. Made my decision easy for Sunday morning. Had my boat Sunday launche about 5.30 set up on the inside water wand was greeted by weeds so brown fishing was out the window well lets slide out some few lure changes slide the divers down drop the riggers add a 300 copper and let the games began first fish came as we hit the 120 line deep rigger goes and that started it all. Fished the 120 to 170 lines for most of the morning along with reel stories and hook jaw charters we all worked well together to stay on active fish. White green dot spinny, grease trap, white blue dot spinny, and KFC glow on the 300. Was getting a lot of fish but they all seemed to be small 2 to 4 lbs so decided to make a move started heading southwest across the lake and got into some better fish had a nice area all to our selfs and got a couple fish around 8lbs and others in the 5 and 6 lbs range white green dot on the 109 rigger and also chrome green dot on a diver out 235 did the damage then. Retuned to the dock at 2 had put 10 fish in the box most around 5lbs. Have no clue how many we caught just know it was a steady bite all morning and mid day with multiple doubles stayed busy and enjoyed a nice day on the water. Heading to the big pond next weekend!!!!
