Olcott 8/20 & 21

Tuesday afternoon was calm so I took my 16" boat straight out to 350 fow.  Set the green Spin Doctor down 90'.  Got 4 Coho and 1 mature King.

 

Wednesday morning I had intentions of heading back to 350 fow but the waves did not cooperate.  So I worked 90 fow with Spin Doctor and fly.  Nothing.  So I decided to go for browns.  I found browns in 50 fow trolling east.  7 browns.  Some small.  Some medium.  Some big.

Nice. I may try running a brown program later this week. Small boat guy as well. Any idea what the temp was down in 50?

On Monday the temp was 46/7 where 50 ft. was bottom. Found similar temps out deep that day (47 degrees down 50').

I do not have down temp or speed electronics yet.  So I do a lot of trial and error.  I was shut out for 3 hours before finding the fish.  Then bang, bang, bang.

Gotcha. I don't have speed temp either so I usually just look for bait and hooks near bottom.
