Weight limit on scottys

Want to get a couple torpedo weights as im getting too much blow back. Scotty manual says 12 lb max. Anyone weigh in on if scottys can do more? I see a tom ik has13 lb ones. That seems decent but i dont want to drop a $100 if they dont work out.

I run 13 pound torpedos on my electric scottys all the time and they work fine.

I run 14 lb balls no problem.

_{Im a Torpedo Divers Prostaffer and I pull the our 16lbers with my Scotty's without any problems at all, The riggers don't even grunt just make sure your brakes are adjusted properly is all.}

Using Atomic's 15.5 lb. torpedoes here... no problems

Jeff, which model? 

 

My old 1116's pulled 16 lb balls like they were nothing. My new 2116's have 12lbs as a MINIMUM weight are are rated to over 20 lbs.
