Out of Oak Orchard

This morning, as a farewell present to my son who will go back to college on Friday,we went to the Oak and did some real nice fishing.

It started on the inside with 3 20 + plus kings from 50 foot  over 120 feet with the thermocline at roughly 45 feet down. Then we went hunting for the secrets of Yankee Troller and trolled out all the way to the 29 line. Along the way there was a very steady pick of both steelies and cohos but no kings and no Yankee Troller in sight. Maybe I was a bit too far east. Around noon we turned around  and trolled back to 160 feet without so much as a bite. We finished the day at 9 for 11. It is a joy to be able to be out there.

Nice going! Rick probably had already filled his box and went back in for another cooler   My daughter just went back too....where the heck did the summer go anyway?
