The fishing died once the wind switched to the east. The killer flies have gone into "devour" mode. Time to pull and head in.

Hey Nick how's the lake? Planning on coming out after work!

1-2ft rollers, pretty nice. Bring a fly swatter!

yup, looks to be the same boat as met us out of Mexico a few weekends back.

1. Any luck?

2. What time did you get to the launch?

3. What time did you catch the fish?

4. Any lamprey?

5. Any gill issues?

6. What County are you from?

I should have told them that the king I got had a gill issue. Noticing it later in pictures, the left side gill plate was 1/2 as long as the right!

Made me wish I was on the lake AGAIN! Friday night and the weekend can't get here fast enough. Thanks again for the report and sharing your experience with us all. Stick a big one!

The girl who met me at the launch once asked me if she could measure, weigh, and then chop off the snout of the laker she identified as a hatchery fish. He looked weird without the snout afterwards...oh well. But, the girl was very nice and polite. I saw her and instinctively reached for my wallet to get my license out, she said "oh, I don't need to see your license. Just had a few questions"

Finally made it over to Skaneateles! Beautiful little waterfront town, lots of activity for a Thursday night.

Of course Tavion then hit up his own "candy store".

always fished with single hooks minus j plugs. The trick is to keep them sharp which is much easier than trebles.Fish dull hooks.Sharpen after each catch and youll lose tless fish.

Hey Nick,

The video this morning is totally black with just the sound present....maybe in light of the fact that you said something about taking your pants off it's supposed to stay that way to avoid the rating system (X?)
