We have been experiencing the same thing lately! Only thing that seemed to help was playing the fish much more aggressively than normal and giving a much stiffer hook set.

Crazy screen in 130-160 worked out to 220 in curiosity blank headed back in to that range. Alot of fish and bait out of temp in fair haven?

How deep is the water you are fishing? Last weekend we were 350-450, any closer or still out deep?

150-200fow

I know some folks will think this is crazy but back in the early eighties this same thing was happening (the "short hits" nobody home) and I experimented and found that it was the salmon hitting the dodger itself (saw the teeth marks on tape) so I rigged one up with a hook on it (still have it in one of my boxes) and caught a chinook on it....only one I caught that way but it proved the suspicion.

Tighten your releases way tight and see if that helps. Do the same on your divers.

I started this trip out doing that... maybe a bit much on the one diver, thought the pole was going to break haha. Every boat is complaining about dropped fish. I think it's just one of those days.

I fished last weekend (6 for 16 Saturday and 14 for 17 Sunday) and both days we had three fish we landed that were hooked in the face not the mouth. Makes me think the fish are slapping the fly instead of biting it. Almost like a later.

Also, what length are the tracks you have for the Dipsey rod holders? That setup looks like it works real nice.  Love the videos.
