Once they got to that length it is the girth that makes the difference in the weight (the thickness across the back and the belly) rather than additional length per se. so it hard to tell in a photo

Yes I agree but if it is under 40" it is under 30lbs 99% of the time.

Can you explain your setup please? Riggers on the corners are obvious.......you run 2 dipsies per side? Both wire? settings at 1 and 3? Boards out too? What do you have on the dipsy rods that look like rubber bands that the guys pull off on a hot? LOVE the updates, thanks!!!! Tim

Scotty riggers on the corner, two wire dipseys per side, two coppers off the otter boats (one per side) if I have enough people.

Those are rubber bands on the dipseys. They let me run my dipsey drags a bit loose.

It is painful for us schmucks reading to hear about all the lost diver fish. I can't imagine what it's like for you! Get the next big one in the boat!

My boss wants to know what all the fuss is about.... obviously he hasn't had the pleasure of having a screaming FISH on the end of a rod at mach 3 while total mayhem breaks out.... clueless..>_>

No kidding.. I trolled the lake for 9straight hrs on Sunday and got 2 ... im obviously doing something they don't like.. I was all over but I also didn't mark much either
