Often after weigh in at a tournament ,fishermen are wondering what to do with all those hundreds and sometimes thousands of pounds of fish.

I know that deer meat is often donated to needy people. This is a well organized  and succesful program.

Is it possible to do the same with king salmon?

I just found out that there is a private effort to do just this by somebody in Fair Haven. This person just accepted the fish caught at the Fairhaven Challenge ,separated the skein and eggs, filetted the fish and when I asked him what he does with all those pounds of fish,he answered that he gives it to those in need.

I do not know your name but, thank you  and more power to you!

Does anybody know whether it is possible to do this on a larger scale (lake wide)?

I think that's a great idea. Help out whoever you can, whenever you can.

If they are big enough, they go on the wall.  If they are eater sized they become food for me someone I have lined up that wants some filets.
