I went to a DEC State of the Lakes presentation early this year in Groton High school Auditorium. They are aware of the Lamprey problem. It seems that the DEC has to get special permits from another NYS department before they can lampricide the inlets and tributaries. They expect to do that in the spring of 2014.

Hey have you ever tried running an inline board with copper? Next year I was thinking of trying a yellowbird planer with a copper setup.

We run all our coppers and cores of inline boards...

That is great news !! I hope they follow through with it!!

Thanks I use a two rod setup right now. One copper rod 500' back that we constantly pull. And another rod off the downrigger. I want to use the inline board on another copper rod same side as the rigger

Holy ****! Lol Thanks. I'm new to the trolling game. I hammered lakers pulling copper this summer and picked up "bonus fish" on downrigger and dipsy. (Prolly lucky). Going to try and run more lines next year. Thanks for the info! Now it's time to river fish. Salmon and then steelhead all winter!

I agree with you on the river but my lake season does not end have a 18' with out board so I still can winter fish the lakes no weeds no fleas no people and a lot of very very active fish most the time more like catching not fishing during the winter

I have a 14.5 foot sylvan with outboard. But I'm going to be doing a lot of trolling out of the kayak this winter. Flatline rapalas with one rod and set up a dipsy rod. So you concentrate more in shore or out in lake still? I know fish aren't down far bc of temps

I fish 90 percent of the time on Seneca and Seneca at least in the winter can fish from 10fow right out to 250fow and catch fish the whole way normally using everything from 2 color cores to mag dipsy divers and fishing all the water columns. Mostly the upper 80 still
