Tips for Seneca and canandaigua

I usually fish Ontario but weather and gas prices are making me look closer to home. Any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated. Saw some posts with some beautiful fish... Looks like canandaigua may be a good place to start. I'd be coming out of the north end.
