Another tough one for our last weekend at the Oak for this year.  We seemed to have another Lake O noob each trip this year, but this time we were honored to take out an Oak veteran - Jack Rossman of the Agitator.  Jack had some health issues earlier in the year and did not get his boat in the water this year.  It was a real pleasure to have him on the boat for our last trips of the year.  After fishing inside for a little with no results, we ventured into Jack's favorite waters and hit the 34 line Friday and Saturday where the guys pulled in 12 steelhead on Friday.  We did not get as many on Saturday - our bite shut down early and we had three steel and one two-year-old king and a couple of drops early and then nothing before the building seas sent us back to the harbor at noon.  The bite was mostly spoons and the hot one was orange crush.  Other bright colors worked as well.  We did have a few bites on a white spinnie with Mt Dew tape and a white fly and on a chrome spinnie with green tape and a green fly, both out 220 on a 3 setting.

Li'l Bit is home now and I will be making some minor modificatiions to the track system to get her ready for the fall striper season on the Chesapeake, as well as changing out the tackle.  We will be anxiously awaiting our return next summer to the Oak for what has come to be a fun filled time of year for the whole crew.
