Well... We on the B.A.R.None started our season this year in May by docking the boat at Bayside for the season. Our intention was to fish as much as possible with a core of three guys splitting costs. which we did. Gear needed to be updated and new gear purchased. I searched a lot of threads and read up and got information which led to some great choices being made. Thank You LOU members. Spring fishing for browns was crazy but productive at first until the water went clear and then the transition period and June was upon us. Fishing was very good for lakers then but we are not fond of them and struggled to get on the salmon and steelies. At first. After reading the posts and threads and getting caught up on a few techniques (Sliders, Fixed sliders, 300 copper) and heading more offshore we started to connect with some quality fish on a  consistent basis. Thank You LOU members. Then we started picking away at the salmon and steelies in July and August and had to have the "hot" flasher fly combos suggested on this site. And they worked! We dont listen to the radio chatter much, so reading the posts by members each week helped us have a battle plan for the weekend and certainly helped our success rate. Thank You LOU members. See you next year!

Did you pull the boat yet??  In another week or so the salmon will be jumping all around your dock lol

Nope. Not gonna pull it for a week or two. Jerry may come out this weekend. Last year we fished the end of august almost up to the end of september. We did well on the cohos then and had the lake to ourselves most of the time. I am done for the year myself.😢 Cannot wait for next year and do it all over again! Thanks for ur Fairhaven thread also, Mr Clean!

More successes...

Thanks Bazooka Joe. We put in a lot of time and worked hard at it. Once the local charter captains at the marina saw us around a lot, they would talk with us and that was good stuff. We thank them also.
