If you want to make a 20 minute drive head West down Rt18 to Bandanas! Great food! Otherwise, head south on Rt 78 (I think) to Cafora's.

Agree, there's better dining in West in Wilson or South in Newfane.

If you want a snack, Bye's (spelling?) popcorn just south of the marina on 78 is a treat. Their caramel cashew popcorn will be my undoing, they should call it gluttony and debauchery in a bag.

It's almost as good as my mom baked when I was a kid...

Yup, can't go wrong with Cafora's in Newfane.  In Wilson, in addition to the Sunset Grille, both the Wilson House on Rte 425 and the Wilson Boat House at the Marina are very good choices as well.

Mariners landing on the east side of the bridge is where my wife and I go when we can get out. Prime rib is great when they have it and they have Guinness on tap. Their soups are great too

When I'm out on that end of the lake, we always hit Mariner's Landing. Great place to eat or have a couple adult beverages.

talked to a friend who was out the other day and they were jumping in the channel and in the lower harbor, in front of the yacht club.  I'm probably gonna hit the west pier friday night.

Bill's diner.  Reasonable and good portions.  TR corner store in wilson has good subs and pizza also reasonble and pretty quick, also have gas and ice.

Yes, Bill's Diner right in the Village of Newfane.  That was the other one I was trying to remember.

Great Breakfast there, we've stopped there many times when getting blown off the lake early.

Bandanas and Caforas are the best.  Wilson boat house is way overpriced and sunset is ok but not great.  Fresh food and good price in my opinion Bandanas and Caforas.  Main street Cafe in Wilson is good too!  Ok now im hungry, A super pack from mighty taco should sufice.

I didn't see anyone mention Ray's Tavern off I18.  Nothing fancy to look at from the outside but they sure treated us well. I remember we went there for Monday steak night in August.  They had a special with steak and two sides for 6.95.  Of course they were sold out by the time we got there after fishing but the bartender substituted an open face sandwich.  It was a huge portion and everyone was very nice.  I would go back again.
