My brother and I tried trolling at night for kings. We have never had any luck at it. It is sickening on how many fish you'll see without a release.

we have done this many times with real good success , just make sure you have a light on the back of the boat ,the hard part is getting them in the net in the dark , 2 people in the boat is a must --good luck

bondouley, I have done this several times and have had great success. My best lures were moonshines trolled around 2.1 mph, by the mouth of any trib.(were they are holding) make sure to keep spoons lit up . Flat lined back 150 to 200 feet, don't be afraid to speed up spoon using long sweeping motion of rod.( top of water to 12oclock) then back .Workes for me!    Good luck and be careful

i have tried a couple times with no success but have had buddies catching them off the pier while i am out trolling.  I think i might have been trolling a little fast.  Good luck.

Last few minuets before dark is the hottest time and sometimes about an hour in.Never trolled to much past 9 this time of year but guys get them off the piers so why not.Riggers down 6 to 12 usually gets them along with a short core. Moonshines work great but the dull glows seem to work well, good luck!
