Has anyone fished small mouth bass on the eastern basin of Lake Ontario in September/October?  I have not fished in the fall for small mouth bass.  Any advice how deep I should be fishing?

Try asking that question in the bass forum. Someone there should be able to answer your question.

I head up to chamount bay this time every year smallies usually in 12-15ft but caught many in 5-7, try rapala xraps and rattle traps always get plenty of 5-7lbers! pm me if need more info

Thanks for the info. I'm planning on doin some trolling with planers where I usually catch them in July. The temperature on the lake has been awfully warm but now seems to be in the upper sixties. My daughter is on leave from the service and I would love to see her catch some fish on the lake. I'll start on ten ft and work my way out.

Thanks for the info. I have a spot where I usually troll for smallies in the summer using planers dragging stick baits. Do you think this method will work this time of year ?
