Last trip Fairhaven

Headed out to fish one last time if weather allows this weekend before we pull the boat. We have not been out in 3weeks or so and never fished this late so I have a few questions....

 

Is fishing for kings in shallower still worth the time, or should we just head out to and try our luck for steelies/smaller salmon and such? 

 

 

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated! I would be nice to have one more good day on the water...

Good Question Barn Dog, 

 

This late I have had my best luck fishing deeper 100- 350 FOW for 2 year olds and steel head.    You won't see many other boats but the fishing can be great.   Good fishing!

Yeah, thats pretty much what I thought. Guess we will take a quick peek inside then out if theres no action until we find something to move the rods.

Well.... Rode the roller coaster all day and fished 110-180 fow. Had good bait and lots of follows. Dropped a good one and had one hit and run. Humbled.

Still a good day and looking forward to next year!
