30 mono on riggers, 30 wire on dipseys , 50 braid backing on leadcore and copper. That probably makes me an idiot instead of a fisherman too though

I always have good luck with it when I'm casting for salmon you just gotta adjust the free spool break on it which will be a little knob that is placed behind the star drag

Haha if I'm fishing the dam at oak orchard I use a open face but if I'm down river on the oak I use a bait caster for throwing lures but now I'm switching over to a center pin

It's like a fly rod but it built like a bait caster cause it's a free spooling design some have drags and some don't it's all on how much you spend but they are also known as drift rods for drifting egg sacks, jigs, flys, Ect....

Terry,

Asking what line you use is like asking what lure you use for salmon fishing.  It depends on the application.  Calling someone an idiot because he points out the vagueness of your question won't buy you many friends around here.  Please be respectful.

Sorry big water but if someone uses a copper line that means they are fishing for more then salmon or lakers or trout I think 20 lb is alil over kill myself and I barely no nothing about salmon fishing but ur right I was out of line with that comment and I'll try to refrain from any more comments like that but I guess if ur trolling the a heavy line would be needed and I'm sorry if I affended any of u I gett carried away before I think that's kool burrows I'm not willing to send that much on a reel lol
