The trout fishing sucked. I worked the north end this afternoon back and forth and around and round by myself. It was overcast and decent conditions and the fish were there but uninterested. I ran 2 downriggers with sliders and a mag dipsey on mono with spoons and sticks and fished from 1:20 PM to 5 PM. Results: one15 inch rainbow, one 18 inch laker, and one 15 inch smallie. Two trout came on downriggers at 50 ft. and the smallie hit a large daredevil type spoon behind the dipsey....That was it... no other hits. I did however take some shots of the foliage that is about at it's peak if not past it. So it wasn't a total loss. There were large concentrations of fish in the 50-78 ft. area on the west side but they wouldn't hit. I've included a screen example and I ran the downriggers right through them repeatedly (maybe  they were bass). Oh well....always another day.

I took my wife and daughter for a boat ride yesterday afternoon and decided to drop 2 riggers down in front of Danny's house and had the same issue! I left the diver rods and net at home so there would be more room in the boat. I changed speed, dirrection and even tried popping a rod from the release while going through the schools. Nothing....isnt that new house on the north west side you have in the 3rd picture something else though?? huge! I cant imagine what just the stone work alone would cost?!? ...I dont think I want to know haha. My father and I will probably make it out a few more times before putting the boat away for the season. Cant beat those fresh rainbows on the grill!

Chris you are absolutely right about the rainbows on the grill. I don't know whose house that is but it is unreal....along with Danny's  and the one next to his especially.  I wouldn't want to pay their taxes even...mine are bad enough but I'd even settle for the one guys boathouse (must be at least $300 grand).  Like you I did everything even rocked the boat while putting in neutral and then accelerating :)  Nothing did it today...didn't mark much out deep as I have been though...not sure what that means....yet. I'm going to keep the boat in until I have to pull it probably in November sometime. Just have to remember to drain all the water out each time I use it. Les
