Heading out on Tuesday morning anyone hit wanetta lately any advise would be welcomed caught one there in early august on dumb luck no skill involved but the guys and I have gone on a charter and immersed ourselves in every musky mag and internet site in hopes of adding a little skill into our quest

Welcome to LOU!  As a rule of thumb for musky fishing....... the later in the season it gets, the better the fishing gets.  This is regardless of the waters your fishing (Chautauqua, Niagara, Islands, or smaller inland lakes).  Water clarity will get slowly get better as temps drop and fish start putting on their pre-winter feed. 

 

I'll spend most of my time late November fishing Chautauqua or up in 1000 Islands region hunting giants.  This of course assumes that I can get permission from the wife to sneak out for a day.
