In June 2012 I moved to a waterfront home in the Town of Newfane, in Niagara County, New York State. There is a drop off to the Lake and shallow rocky shore. So, no way to ever have a dock here. I have very little experience fishing Lake Ontario.

My boat is really meant for small inland Lakes. It's a 16' aluminum MirrorCraft, made in 1967. It has a little wrap around windshield and was intended to be a water ski boat. The motor, a 40hp Johnson has just been rebuilt. I hoe to get out on the Lake soon. Hoping toget some smallmouth bass--near shore. Have tobe sure the wave action is low, maybe 1' or less.

I am a hamradio operator. My sign in name is my call sign. I would like tohear from any one on this forum who is a ham.

Welcome to the area. I've lived in Newfane my entire life and fish out of Olcott as well. My boat is in storage for the winter but will be out chasing Kings once the winter weather is gone. I own Built-Right Home Improvements here in town if u ever need any work done.
