Just an update: doctors have all ruled out all forms of cancer thankfully. Still not out of the woods, spent last week in the hospital . Getting there, long and expensive road. Luckily our insurance copays didn't go up on the first of the year! I want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. This is a tight knit online family! My plan is to win the loc to pay back all these thousands in copays ;)

If I should win  My winnings are your winnings. Hold up the faith, it has ways to make things go easier, although not always noticed right up front.   :flower::yes:  :flower:

blueghost1.....Excellent news. Healing and strengthening thoughts toward your family are working. Keep up the battle as we all continue to convey to her and your whole family all of the strongest spiritual and emotional support!

Dan, one of my best friends is a doctor. He told me the same. Laurie is getting frustrated with some of the "giving up". She has a new rhumetologist now that is making a lot of progress. These specialists copays are getting EXPENSIVE! Another year, and once again my "fishhawk fund" is depleted :(  looking forward to the Seneca  May derby camping trip  to unwind!

Well after 9 months of doctors, 5k in copays and loss of her job due to her absence my wife has a diagnosis, Heavy metal poisoning. Something I was floored by. With  The time frame they  created it is believed it happened while her office was undergoing construction while she was working and  pregnant for our daughter. Our little one now has to be tested, and Laurie has begun treatment to flush this from her system. Metal treatment is "possibly" not covered by BCBS  (why do I pay for healthcare) but we appear to be on the road to recovery. Our family would like to thank the LOU family for all your support! Now on to the fishing season soon  good luck!

Glad to hear wife is doing better. Sounds like you need to speak to a lawyer at this point. Heavy metals I assume your talking about lead. Contractors need to raise that issue any any job undertaken nowadays. Hope all fairs well for your family

Thoughts and prayers sent.  Make sure you question every bill you get from the hospital.  Over the years a call to an insurance company regarding a bill would end in "oh, you are not responsible for that".  Don't just write the check.  If you have any questions about scleroderma PM me as I had an Aunt pass away from this horrible disease.  Heavy metal poisoning is often a diagnosis given when the doctors don't know what is wrong.  Often disease processes need to proceed over a period of years before enough pieces of the puzzle are in place to make a definitive diagnosis.....a very frustrating process.  Hang in there.
