Can you guys copy anything from WORD and then paste it in as a reply?   (Is my computer experiencing some serious operator error?)

Try rebooting your computer and then try it Tom.

Pics don't seem to work though as cut and paste but I never do them that way anyway. I use the full editor here and then use the ATTACH FILES, then BROWSE function to find the pic on my drive and then ATTACH THIS FILE and it always works as long as they are JPG's

Not only on this forum Tom but the other two MA forums I belong to as well.

Also the quote feature isn't working for me.

This all happened all of a sudden, thought is was my machine.

Any of you computer gurus have a solution?

Thanks

Glen

I've rebooted, run anti-virus stuff, reset all defaults in browser (just in case) & still doesn't work.  Works okay on other forums tho'....  Chad is looking into it.

Hi guys -

I've been looking into this for a couple hours here and I have found out it is related Internet Explorer browser 10 & 11.  It doesn't look like it's most recent release is yet compatible with the forum software we use.  I have tried applying a temporary fix but it will require you restarting and clearing the IE browser cache.  Try it now and see if the patch fixed the issue.

Sometimes major new browsers break functionality, and it takes a little time for things (especially extremely complex javascript-based applications) to support them.  It is the unfortunate nature of the web.  We can't really do anything about the editor vs IE11 compatibility until the editor itself actually supports IE11, and even then we will have investigate what it would take to support it.

Also consider other browsers:

http://www.getfirefox.com

http://www.chrome.com

http://www.apple.com/safari/

All three of these have been tested and work fine.

Thanks!

Chad

Thanks Chad.

The quote function worked so that's a good sign.

How do I clear the IE browser cache?

From what I can figure (& I warn you that I'm computer illiterate), when you make a site a "favorite" Explorer puts some codes for that site in a special file for that site on your computer.  Even though you dump cookies & temp files, that file is still there, in a different location.  Your computer goes to that special file rather than accessing the site directly.  This way you computer saves a few steps when accessing that site.  If that site has some updates that have some different codes than what's already in that special file on your computer, you may encounter some problems.

I'm probably full of sh[t, but clearing the browser cache worked.  Now if I can only remember how to access it for the next update......  :wondering:
