Dropshotting for Trout

I caught loads of large mouth and small mouth bass with 5" green pumpkin Senko wacky rigged on a drop shot. I am wondering if the same set up can yield good results with different species of larger trout. In other words, has anyone caught trout using a Senko?

I haven't spent time trying for lakers. However, I am sure that would work. Try targeting keuka to hone your craft.

I've caught em on a white senko on a regular jighead, lakers aren't very pick though. I'm sure dropshotting would work but a regular jighead is probably an easier and more effective method

Tried it on lakers, it works, but not the best rig in my opinion.  At least the way I fish lakers, the jig is usually moving a lot and a regular head is better like zackblain said.  I've gotten a few when it's super slow by rigging one up and dragging it on the bottom while barely drifting.  Used a 2 oz weight.  Try it out on a slow day it never hurts to mix it up.
