Ibay 12-31

  Took a ride up to Ibay this afternoon,open water from the north end boat launch to the first set of channel markers. One trailer in parking lot, I think it was a duck hunter. Theres open water from the south end up to the first parking lot at the bottom of the hill. No one on the ice at north bay.

I drove over the Bay Bridge today and noticed a group of tents about half way down towards the south.  Anyone know how thick the ice is out there?  My sailing club's down that way and I going out with a buddy tomorrow curious if the Bay's an option.

Talk to a buddy of mine was 4 to 5 inches as of last Sunday I'm sure the ice is fine but again it was secondhand information

Call S&R bait shop on culver rd. Or bayside tackle shop on empire blvd. Each could give an accurate account for the bay.<br />

People were walking into S&R bait, saying they were going to the south end and guys have been out...Didn't hear about ice thickness...
