Honeoye 1/1/2014 FYI

There is from 3 inches to 4 inches of ice on Honeoye as of today. There were guys out there with their shelters (even way north of the launch)but I wasn't one of them....we went with the "old school" bucket approach for now

Just as an update - people are fishing both the north and south end of Honeoye today. There is about 5 plus inches of ice.

Not sure about today but New Years day we did pretty good on the bass and panfish.

I fished south end this morning jigged 15 - 18 ft moved around a little. Between me and my girlfriend we managed just a few small fish. Left there around noon went over to conesus and played with the bluegill. My girlfriend caught a 4 lb largemouth. Not bad for her first day on the ice.

Headed to conesus tomorrow. How far did u get out? I know the geese keep it open out front of vitale. I like to get to that 10-12' depth

We were in 7ft there were people that were out in that 10 ft area though they said lots of sinks just like us
