weekend hughes report

Did the Sunday drive thing. Stopped at Bass pro for their spring fishing extravaganza. Plucked 4 good spoons out of their discount bin.[red nk vampires] Drove on up to Sodus point lots of guys out icefishing but I didnt ask anyone how they were doing. Stopped at Abes tackle shop. He bought the restaurant bar across the road and was working on fixing the place up. I sure hope he stays in the tackle business. Drove by Maxwell creek there was 4 or 5 cars there and their seemed to be a good flow of water. Went on down to Hughes to check my camper .Things looked good Stopped by the office and they had a pic. of a nice 15lb northern caught last fall. The lake level looked good,good color out to about 100ft from shore. Im startin to get the itch.
