Came across a video of guys jigging lakers using these 10" 'Hogy' baits. They looked like they had great action. Just curious if anybody has tried them on the FLX.

Not those, but I've tried other 8" and 12".   Never caught one but didn't spend more than 2 hrs max with them.  I was catching fish on 4", wasn't on the big ones, decided more was better and stuck with the smaller ones.  I have talked to several guys that use 8" or so and they said they don't get many but the average size is larger.   Makes sense.

I wonder what the primary baitfish is for those lakers in your video, our sawbellies rarely get large and so if one is matching the bait I'd say 8" as a top end with most adult alewives around here being 4-6", so that's what I'm generally putting down there.   But the big beastly top dog lakers... they may  be eating something else and go for something considerably larger!

I tried 6.5" shadalicious on a 1.5oz jig with a stinger, on keuka in November. I had a few on it. Of course it is keuka, but I found bigger fish hit that along with my 80gram shimano flatfall jig.
