Slow perch bite, only a few keepers. The predators came to play though. My son Tyler got his biggest pike at 34" and I got one at 32". Jigged up a nice 24" rainbow, and a few rock bass

Awesome fish!  Good looking Rainbow!  What lure/bait were you jigging with?

Jigging with small black marmooska with glow eyes tipped with a waxworm. Smacked it 18" off bottom on my new straightline combo. Pike hit 6" sucker chubs and fatheads.

Very cool! Can you fish all the way down the channel or does it get hairy?

I fished in my spot just off boat launch. There's current if u go towards the lake so I would spud your way out there.

Ok thanks, cant recall how many yards down till you steer left out to the main channel.Like to fish Waters that contain lake gators, catch and release for me. Always wanted to try there, hour and twenty min drive. New scenery ya know!

I wouldn't drive an hr and 20 min to fish here. It's barely worth the 10 min drive for me. If your after gators, Silver Lake is tough to beat. I just catch pike wherever I go, it's kinda my thing.

I hear ya, Im heading to silver on Friday if shore ice doesn't die tomorrow! Pike is my thing as well
