Unfortunately, yes.   If it is powered by anything other than a sail, paddle or the ash breeze the gov wants money.

Anything mechanically powered Greg has to be registered.

Make sure you have a couple batteries. When the wind picks up there it's tough to get back to the launch.

If you are over 18 do you need a safety course to register any vessel ? I have a 10 ft Jon boat I want to register and put an electric motor on. Would be messed up if I can operate the 21 ft trophy already registered but need a safety course for a 10 ft boat that will go 4mph max lol. The way I read is unclear on that
