cannon 10a weight?

how much weight can cannon 10a work all day effectively? looking to get some torpedos. that wont kill my riggers.

I know a lot of guys may be running heavier weights but the earlier 10A's were designed to run 10 lb max. I've run that for 30 years on mine and that could say something about staying within the weight range. The newer Cannon downriggers have a different (heavier duty motor from what I understand)

I ran 12 lb cannonballs on my old Mag 10A's, they were glacially slow, but never failed to bring the balls up.

I have the same riggers with the same question, so I called Cannon a few years ago and they told me 10 lb. max.

I run 12lb torpedoes on mine and they slow a bit but do the job.

I bet 12 lbs sharks would be a better alternative.  Their slim design seems to come up easier (at least when i ran them on my manual cannon's).

I run 12lb torpedo on mine. never had a problem. those motors can handle 12s all day no problem.

What Tim said.  Ours handle the 10# no problem but are slow as hell bringing up our 13# torpedos
