Hello folks, just joined the board, thought Id give a big hello to all, I live in Prince Edward County, Quinte West and love fishing. Bought a new boat this year and hope to get out for some Salmon and Trout Fishing.

Quinte eh? Talk about having the best of both worlds . living in a great part of the province and on the best walleye fishery in the world . I'm jealous . I'll be making my way there come May opener .Hopefully we can touch base . My group stays at Bayview. We like to fish Shermans and longreach . Looking forward to some stories and reports . Welcome abooard .

I've yet to meet anyone that has fished quinte that doesn't like Quinte Welcome Steve

juno - when you come up for walleye in may, (if your going into picton) make sure that you give the east side of the island, directly across from the concrete factory, a try. You should try to be in about 18ft of water, troll the east length of the island. You will see folks achoured at the North tip jiggin. But try trolling with a black and silver down deep husky jerk, you will not be disappointed. I will be fishing around Pt Anne, in Bellville, big bay area. I will be monitoring VHF marine radio, my call sign of course is SigPig. Good Luck!

Thanks for the tip sigpig . We'll mostly be concentrating on Shermans and long reach , but I'll see if I can't talk the group into givin that a try . Thanks again .
