I have about 30 smothwicks. Mostly the 4.5 and 5 in ones. They never produce for me. They don't seem to have A lot of action. Is there a way to tune them?

Where and under what conditions are you using them?  Smithwicks REALLY shine in a good mudline/dirty water because they are so noisy in the water.  When it's semi-clear, then straight or jointed rapalas seem to work better for me.  The noise of the smithwicks might be too much in clearer water.

Those crazy colors should work good in stained or dirty waters...... they do for me. When the water is clear, more natural colors seem to do better.

R these ones the right size? 4.5 in

Or should I be useing the Gary roach ones there like 3.5

Try getting some in black back and silver sides 4.5".  The blue back is a good color along with that gold & black looking one towards the back in the first picture, but honestly I probably wouldn't use many of the others.  The "Ghost" shad or white prism looking cranks always do well for me.

With the smithwicks try removing the front hook, definatly improves action. Always seem to catch more browns with the 2 hooks.
