All of Cannon's electrics have the same motor in them. We pull 20lb weights a lot with no issues. If your pulling 12's with these riggers look out! They will be fast!

Same thing here had older mag10's,  went for the mag-5hs swapped out the short booms for longer one's i made and i already had the swivel base's and ended up saving a bunch on doing this and i now have the mag 10 set up and saved about 300 bucks going too same thing this year with my other set awsome riggers.

Other than making sure you have good heavy gauge wire to them so they get plenty of electric, probably not.

It's tough to compare the new riggers to the old slow ones. It's going to be night and day when you run them.

Cool thanks I will just hold on to them for spares. If we get to fish this year I don't think its ever gonna warm up.I'm ready to go now lol can't wait

we're you able to use your old mag 10 bases?  If not, is the bolt pattern of your new cannons the same as the old mag 10s?

The 10a and 5/10HS are the same square base. The ST/STX bases are different.

The bolt pattern must be the same since both style bases mount on the low profile swivels.

There is a certified guy who rebuilds the motors. His number is in my boat. We got 5 st and switched booms also. Trying to mount our old mag 10s to bring in planner boards. Easier said than done.
