Bilge Pumps

Need opinions on bilge pumps as I will replacing both of mine this season. 23' boat. Thanks.

Are you talking 12 volt or 24 volt?

Also, If you have an I/O you will need bigger bilge pumps than when you have an outboard. If one of the hoses on the I/O pops loose it fills up awfully fast

Smooth hose has more gpm flow than the flex type hose for the same dia.

Can't beat a couple of 1500 or 2000 Rule automatics.

A bit pricey but you don't want to scrimp on bilge pumps.

It would seem based on price Rule would be best but I keep reading poor reports on various sites regarding the Rule automatics.  Seems like such a simple mechanism but MAN is it an important one.

Buy the capacity you can afford, then borrow some money to buy the highest capacity.

Not a bad idea to rig a spare with 10 - 15' wires and stash it somewhere.

Rig them up direct to your battery.
