I've used them all t one time or another....the worst ones were ugly sticks....the rod butt was too far to the reel. Very awkward. I know a lot of guys use rollers, I'm not partial to them either. I like a more whippy longer rod with a twilly on the end....Diawa 10 fters fit my needs perfectly. They have decent eyelits on them and won't beat up your wallet too bad. I used the same 10 1/2 ft St.Croix diver rods for 16 years....I broke one and called St.Croix but they stopped making them. If anyone has a St.Croix diver rod and wants to sell it, please PM me.....Tight lines. .....

All six of my diver rods are Daiwa Heartlands. 4 9.5' and 2 10.5'. All have served me very well for many years.

Another vote for the Heartlands. Bought 2 last year. Mine are HLD-DD 962H 9ft 6in. Very good value. Stay away from the Eagle Claws. They make nice goose flag poles.
