Snow geese

Late this afternoon I observed several flocks of snows and Canadas landing in local corn fields. I'm sure there will be a big push this week.

I saw a small flock arrive in the morning with a bigger push later in the day. If your going to get after them nows the time

I have been seeing more and more of these snow birds every year over the house. I went to mendon ponds Friday and there was 15 to 20 thousand of the noisy bastards. I haven't followed them to see where they are feeding. I think they are resting there and moving on.

Made the drive to Watkins Glen yesterday AM for the FL show, in spite of the crappy driving, hoping to see some big flocks. The visibility was 1/4 mi tops and over Seneca was even worse. Not a good scouting day. Spent money at the show. Felt better.
