I had an opportunity to fish San Juan PR and couldnt pass it up. We flew down Monday morning and arrived at the hotel at 1:00pm. checked in just unpacked and relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the warm and sun

We met up with the captain Monday night and went over the weeks plan. We fished Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday trolling for Mahi, Sails, Marlins, etc. Fishing was slow. we covered alot of water and maganed a couple bites but tough fishing overall. Boated one White Marlin, and one Barricuda for 24 hours of trolling.

We fished Thursday Night for Snook and Tarpon. Ended up with a decent Tarpon

Friday morning was our last shot at the Big Marlin we had our eyes set on. we were greeted with 15-18' swells on the ocean. We turned back to port and decided to take out the bay boat in search of Snook, and Tarpon again. I landed a decent snook and another nice Tarpon.

On our way back in there were Iguanas all ove the place warming themselves in the sun. Our mate (who spoke 3 words of english) jumped out of the boat onto a pier chased after the iguana eventually catching one bringing it back to the boat, held it up and said "CHICKEN !!!!". i almost died laughing. we returned to the dock, he cleaned the Iguana, the Snook, and cut us a fresh Panu (breadfruit) from the tree. He cooked it all up and it was delicious (iguana was a little tough - though)

All in all it was a great trip. Beautiful weather everyday and the ocean and scenery were amazing. the fushing could have been better but it sure beat starring at the bay and waiting for the ice to melt
