Boat ran well , sea sense is awesome , riggers an planers worked, auto pilot gave me trouble ALL day , finally gave up and tried to catch a fish, no luck. Pulled rods and fiddled with AP , called service center twice , a Still not working! Put boat on trailer and headed home. Will continue to work on it in the barn,

Shake down cruise for me as well. (2pm -5pm)  Auto pilot didn't work well into the wind. (going too slow) It did work well across the wind, and with the wind. At just a slight jog to the wind it would hold, but couldn't react fast enough to head into the wind. Is this similar to the problems you had? No gain adjustment could help, and the higher the gain the worse the reaction time was. 

No fish to report, got skunked. Just glad all is working and ready for the season.

I could not get a gps fix long enough for the AP to lock in, called hummingbird and was told to remove the "y" cable . Hope that this works.

My auto pilot is my 30 year old nephew.  When he is not working well I just give him a red bull.

 

Good luck this spring and watch out for the floating trees-they are plentiful.
