Here's a view from my brother-in-law's front porch on Mud Bay (if this works). That's Grenadier Island on the left. Trying this from my new I-pad. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

Chris,

We better get ice breakers for camp this year. We are actually going up next sat to check out camp but was told by friends up there to bring ice gear also. It been a long season.

Man that is a discouraging picture. My buddy said that Chaumont is starting to open up near the river and around klines point but everything else is still solid. Also its about 24" thick throughout most of it still.

Didn't see anyone out on Mud Bay, but understand they were still fishing Chaumont. When we left Sun. afternoon there was quite a bit of water on the ice.. so that's a good sign. I think it will be open by walleye opener. Good Fishing, Sluggo (Chris)

I spent just about every weekend of my child hood riding a bike from Wilson bay to mud bay to fish...as a kid there was nothing I wanted to catch more than a pike. I really miss that place
