Reports from the meeting were an awareness that the fish have digestive systems loaded with particles of plastics that are not passed and could decimate our fishery. Lake Erie walleye and perch should be in good supply again for the next several years. Bass are good now and for the future. Cold water fish will be discussed next week at the club meeting on Thursday, 7:00 PM. Sturgeon have been captured in greater numbers now that gill nets are being used to a greater extent for study. Algae blooms can be deadly to people and pets and are atributed to people living near the shore and farm practices such as ethanol corn production.
