Bigjon Mast

If recently bought a new Bigjon Mast and the mounting bracket/foot that comes with it looks really small to me  for the amount of pulling the boards do.  Have any of you guys had problems with the stability of these masts?  Im afraid I will damage the front of my boat.  Is there any need for a backer plate? Or a larger base?

They are kinda small but if you put a thick backing plate under it you will be fine backing plate should be double the size of the base use stainless bolts and big washers and run em!

Yup.  It would've pulled up the floor in my boat.  So, i pulled it out and bought the adapter for the seat base.  I still ratchet strap down the front snuggly for more stability.  It pulled out once with the boards attched...not good!
