When you run say a 300 copper off your mast and planer boards what type of release do you use?

I did run copper off big boards with a Scottie pinch pad and a rubber band, had several break offs, started using TX-44 inline boards no more break offs

i use  clipper  or  lauvick  with   shrink tube on them to be tangle free on windy  days

Scotty large power grip planer releases will hold long coppers just fine. put em on the heavy tension setting.

Hey there

i run 300 and 500 copper

7 and 10 color lead

and use shower curtain clip and rubber band

size of rubber band depends on water condition

i carry 3 size of rubber band

very cheap in dollard store

always go with the weakest size first

you will see right away if you need to go to bigger size

now usaly right of the bat with the water condition i know wich size to use (experience)

 With the clipper do you use a rubber band or put the backer line right into the clipper??
