Anyone hear of any pike or tigers caught out of Conesus Lake in the mid 20 to 30 pound range?

I've caught a lot of nice pike there but never over 20. Biggest tiger i've caught there might have been 12. No doubt there are some tanks in there,i just haven't seen one.

I saw a few big gals several years back in the inlet that I would say were easily in the 20# range.  The biggest one I saw yesterday might have been 10#s.  My experience has been that the (Con) Pike tend to get long without that much girth.  Could just be the small sample size for me.  I think that I get more girth out of Ontario and St Larry.  Guys on here know a lot more about it than I do.  Just my feeling.

The pike fishing in new york will never reach it's potential with the current regulations. With a 5 per day limit, long season and silly minimum lengths too many are eaten and not released.

There may be  walleyes over 20lbs. in there too! (ask the DEC) ..........With a billion alwives to feed on they don't chase lures much. :bandit:

I fish conesus a lot in may the last two years. I have had some walleye that look like tanks follow me up. Last year one took two slow swipes at my lure missing it. Easily over 15lbs. After June the pike and tiger bite slows down picking back up in late August.

There are no doubt some monster fish in conesus due to the alewives, for that same reason they're difficult to catch using the "traditional techniques"

I think Justin's reaction bite techniques would really work well over there and I'm interested to see his results after he fishes it this year.
