I currently bought a unit and gonna install it soon. The only place I can put the transducer is next to my lowrance HDS 5 transducer or on port side (same side as kicker). Anyone have any tips I can find useful before installation, I'd appreciate it!

My sonar & FH transducers are next to eachother with no problems. Lowrance HDS 8 83/200 khz

You should be OK with it as Iceman mentioned. It is seldom a good idea to locate any transducer neat your kicker because of the potential for prop turbulance.

If I were you I'd get an suction cup adapter first and try a couple locations. I know mine did not like the kicker side when I had it temp mounted there. I ended up moving out towards the edge of my boat opposite the kicker. Since it only needs to be used when trolling I didn't care about it coming out of the water when running.
