Non Resident catch limit ?

Hello, My name is Mike...Heading to North east basin tomorrow, my first time fishing in NY, anyone know the possession limit for a non resident for Steelies and browns ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Oh yeah, I am a float fisherman......Love the steelies.

Welcome to the site.  As long as you have a license, you're entitled to the same as a NY resident.  You'll have to check guidebook that you get with your license.  Possession & size limits as well as seasons depend on the water you're fishing.

I arrived at the river today hoping that it wasn't blown out due to the recent weather and spring melt, but as I suspected it was totally unfishable. very high water levels, even the bait shop was in about 12" of water. Price you pay sometimes, but at least I got to see the river and area. It looks like a very nice river to fish and I will definately return. I met some very nice locals at a nearby diner who were very helpfull also. Dexter is a nice little town.
