We finally splashed the boat this afternoon, just in time for the wind to start picking up. The steady NE wind has the warm water piled up on shore - we got all our fish in about 8 feet of water on a westward troll, from Shipbuilders back to the mouth, three small browns and a surprise 34 inch pike (all released).

We wanted to turn and make another run through our marks but the wind had other ideas. We got spun like a top with all our lines out, right off the beach, and had to cut and run to avoid beaching. Thank you VERY much to the beach resident that grabbed our board out of the surf and returned it. We played it safe and just stayed in the bay, rerigging everything. Back at the launch, we pulled mono out of our main and spectra out of our kicker.

Small boat trolling - got to love it!
